Melissa K. Bartels

Melissa K. (Marek-Donahue) Bartels grew up in Fargo, ND. She received a B.A. in English and Communications from North Dakota State University in 2002 and a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2005. While in law school, Melissa was a fellow with the Rosenthal Institute for Justice/Ohio Innocence Project, managing editor of the Immigration and Nationality Law Review, and received multiple brief-writing awards for the Moot Court Honor Board. Prior to joining Serkland Law Firm in 2013, Melissa worked in nonprofit marketing and fund development. Melissa predominantly works in the areas of family law and civil litigation.
